Salary – £20,000 – £35,000 Per Annum Negotiable Depending on Experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of my clients who are UKs leading Solid Timber Construction manufacturing company. They design, manufacture, and install solid timber structures for clients in the UK & internationally working on projects such as schools, blocks, flats, barns, theatre studios restaurants & many more made to measure buildings across different industries.
Their consultancy and construction services are tailored to their client’s needs. Through every stage of a project, they manage costs, mitigate risks, and deliver solid timber structures quickly, safely, and sustainably. Using digital engineering BIM and fabrication technology to optimise the design, procurement, and construction phases of a project. Due to expansion, they are now searching for a Project Designer to join the team, candidates can be from a Revit Technician / Co-ordination / Technologist background with an interest in timber construction. Can also be from an engineering background with an understanding of BIM modelling / off site construction methods.
Responsibility & Duties
- London office-based role with regular hands-on site visits in the UK.
- Seeing timber construction projects from Design through Manufacture to construction on site
- Work in a team of experienced Timber Engineers & Project Managers.
- Using technologies & BIM to improve efficiency in working
- Full time and varied role, working on live projects ranging from small houses to large schools & multi-story residential schemes
Experience & Qualification
- Experience using Revit essential
- Rhino, Python, Dynamo, Grasshopper software a bonus
- Work examples & portfolio of drawings essential
- Architectural Technologist / CAD Technician / Graduate Structural Engineer / BIM Modelling or BIM Co-Ordinator background considered, Sustainable Construction Technology
- Engineered Timber Products – CLT & Glulam experienced desirable
- Forefront of Timber Technology linked with Design for Manufacture & Assembly experience beneficial
- BIM Level 2 incl. 4D sequencing beneficial
